The Main Event: Her Looks

Haldi

Ashley started her wedding weekend with a bang with this gorgeous Haldi look. Her glam was the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary, highlighting her natural beauty while adding a little bit of personality. The pop of gold shimmer on her eyelids perfectly complemented her STUNNING gold lehenga from Saanjh by Lea. Her half-up, half-down hairstyle was the icing on the cake, adding a modern flair and elegance to round out her look. Ashley’s Haldi style was nothing short of glamorous and set the tone for her special weekend.

“My favorite look was definitely the Haldi. I wanted everything to complement golden hour. Daniela’s shimmery golden smoky eye was the perfect complement to my yellow/gold outfit and sunset hour. I absolutely loved Karen’s hair that day with the soft waves.”

CEREMONY

As we relive the rest of Ashley’s wedding looks, you’ll notice a recurring theme of blending cultural traditionalism with personalized contemporary touches! The vision for this look and mandap was an enchanted woodland that incorporated gorgeous crystal chandelier, silk drapery, and florals to match her lehenga. Speaking of, this lehenga from Roqa was THE moment! The vibrant red brought a more classic feel while the beading and embroidery incorporated Ashley’s personality and flair. Her glam and hair were elegantly simple, with a slight winged eyeliner, a bit of shimmer to round out her eyeshadow look, and a glowy, blush-focused finish that allowed the elegant, intricate details of her lehenga to really shine.

RECEPTION

In lieu of a traditional Sangeet, Ashley actually had two receptions! Her modern reception decor AND glam were nothing short of jaw-dropping! For her final look, we went with darker tones - a brown smokey eye, sharper contour, and a deeper neutral lip - that popped next to her delicate lace gown from Rita Vinieris and white decor! In contrast to her colorful Haldi and Ceremony, this reception was an iconic monochromatic moment, featuring tables lined with white florals, elegant white drapery, and a variety of clear and mirrored accents. This was the reception of our dreams to round out Ashley’s dream wedding weekend!

“Because our wedding was over three days I wanted every look to be very different. Haldi I wanted to be sexy/fun. Hindu wedding ceremony traditional. And modern reception more soft and romantic. Hair and makeup matched the vibe everyday. That was actually my favorite part of the glam process, working with the artists to create looks that matched all of our different events.” - Ashley
