Our beautiful bride, Tia, had her wedding at the historic Powel Crosley Estate in a sun-drenched ode to an Italian summer — effortlessly chic, timelessly romantic, and full of Mediterranean charm. Set against the backdrop of Sarasota Bay, the estate’s Mediterranean Revival architecture felt like a little slice of the Amalfi Coast right here in Florida. From the orange-accented tablescapes to Aperol spritzes beneath Tuscan-esque architecture, every detail transported guests straight to la dolce vita.

A Closer Look

The Venue

This venue left us speechless. The historic Powel Crosley Estate was the perfect backdrop for Tia’s Tuscan-esque wedding day!

It is a 1929 Mediterranean Revival masterpiece right on the shores of Sarasota Bay that reflects Old‑World Italian elegance. Its red‑tile roof, gorgeous archways, balconies, and stucco walls evoke a hilltop villa in Tuscany - perfect for creating an authentic Italian ambiance.

This was where the true essence of an Italian summer came to life! The softly glowing string lights created a romantic ambiance and the perfect blend of historic charm and evening warmth. The greenery added a softness to the overall feel of the estate and really added to the Italian summer vibe!

The Decor

You can’t tell us this isn’t giving summertime in the Amalfi Coast! Laura Snow Weddings brought Tia’s Italian summer vision to life and the result was nothing less than enchanting. The decor featured vibrant oranges with slices cut to different shapes and sizes, fresh citrus blooms mingled with lush greenery, and elegant blue, white, and rattan accents. The orange elements created an eye-catching summery nod to an Italian-themed Florida wedding and soft bursts of blue and white accents, glassware, and candles added depth and a beautiful contrast.

The little details were what really brought Italy to Sarasota, FL, and the layering of classic colors, organic freshness, and timeless elegance somehow enhanced the already beautiful Powel Crosley Estate, truly bringing Tia’s dreams to life! We could not be more obsessed with how the decor turned and the overall vibe it brought to this wedding!

Her Looks

CEREMONY

Tia’s ceremony dress from Calvet Couture Bridal was the perfect blend of old Hollywood glamour and modern bridal chic! She wore a stunning strapless satin gown with:

- An asymmetrical neckline for a contemporary twist

- A fitted bodice that accentuated her waist and provided a timeless silhouette

- A thigh-high slit that added movement and a hint of allure

This look exuded effortless elegance with a touch of modern drama. The asymmetrical neckline and thigh-high slit give the look a bold, fashion-forward edge, while the luxurious satin and classic silhouette keep it elegant and timeless.

Her sleek bun, styled into a low, coiled chignon, and natural, soft glam perfectly complemented her modernly classic dress. The face framing pieces added a romantic, feminine softness to the structured bun. This look is an excellent choice for a bride who wants a classic silhouette with a stylish, editorial edge - a.k.a. Tia! Absolutely no notes - she looked gorgeous!

RECEPTION

A moment for this look! Tia’s wedding reception dress was chic and playful, while still keeping a modern feel, similar to her ceremony dress. She chose a satin mini dress with structured, corset-style paneling and delicate pearl detailing. This strapless mini from Eliya The Label had a gorgeous silhouette and length, perfectly suited for dancing the night away. She added a little extra playfulness to this look with sheer, ruched detachable sleeves, adorned with more pearls, adding a whimsical, fashion-forward twist. The pearl embellishments throughout her look pulled the whole ensemble together with polish and personality.


Something we love about the hairstyle and glam Tia chose for her special day is this look flawlessly and elegantly transferred from ceremony to reception! This low updo maintained sophistication while allowing her to easily move around and comfortably enjoy every aspect of the night - from hugging family and friends to dancing and piggy back rides. This structured chignon created a refined contrast to the fun, youthful vibe of the reception outfit—elevated, cohesive, and really giving “cool girl wedding.”
